Precisely this. Having recently lost access to my meds for 10 weeks, my heart is w him. I recall my parents making decisions for me that deeply disturbed me as a child; they still do.

W/o damning the parents, I'll note that we don't see studies like this in Europe, Asia, Australia or the Americas.

Donald Trump's Medicaid cuts could be a death sentence for HIV-positive Texans There are over 100,000 HIV+ Texans. Trump's 'big beautiful' bill would slash funding for federal HIV prevention, medications, support services and research.

"So what happens to those living with HIV in the U.S. when access to needed medications is gone? Like Porter said, they die."

I really struggle w the ethics of treatment interruption among children. During CROI 2024, I had a huge disagreement w Deborah Persaud over this.

To say that the parents gave consent is not equivalent to a child understanding & giving consent. So again ― is TI okay among children?

Same. Also, this person has numerous accounts and I think they are specifically targeting HIV advocates/journalists.

I was diagnosed with #HIV 10 years ago. I'm alive because of HIV medications. Without them, I will die. In fact my whole community will.

And I don’t just mean people living with HIV. I mean everyone.

Fascinatingly, @pieceofkay.bsky.social's play, "The Wash," shows how the most disenfranchised rose up to demand their rights. It is the blueprint for how we resist & win during this moment.

LEN does not require cold storage, which ― Dr. Orlando Harris points out ― means that it could be administered at home.

Harris also asked about site reaction interactions and was told that when they occurred, they were 1 cm in circumference & while palpable, not particularly visible.

Chiree Graham, PharmD, AAHIVP shares that during the PURPOSE 1 trial women who became pregnant had their injection site switched from their abdomen to their thighs.

This worked & showed that regardless of where a woman is in terms of her fertility cycle ― pregnant or not ― Lenacapavir still works.
