This is an astonishing display of ignorance...does he not understand how insurance works? At all???

IIRC, the Lincoln bedroom/bath is a guest suite.

This is such a good cake! I make it at least once a year.

Yep! Texas has significantly more wind power capacity installed, but Iowa generates a higher percentage of its total electricity from wind power--thank you for noting that!

Nearly 30% of *Texas's* power generation is from wind energy.

His denigration of renewables is unconscionable.

At this point, this can be classified as irresponsible reporting. Leaving out the connections to Groyper? really?

I like her, but no.

I'm old enough to remember this being a conservative talking point *against* smart meters.

Oh no...are they thinking of building another story on top? Changing the silhouette of the White House would be ghastly.

We can't afford libraries or museums or health care for poor people, but *this* is a sound use of taxpayer dollars? 🀨

I hope your second shot goes well! The first Shingrix kicked my butt, but the second was no big deal.

SO true. I've had people recommend books and I'll start them and think "nah" and then later pick it up and think "wow, this is so good"--for me, at least, timing is really important.

It depends. With a massive 400-person House of Representatives and a large influx of Free Staters, state-level stuff can definitely lean red. OTOH, all of our federal reps (2 members of the House, and both US Senators) are Dems.

Ha, we haven't had that happen (yet), but both my husband and I prefer manual cars. I'll be incredibly sad when that's no longer an option...they are fun to drive and some level of protection against theft, IMHO.

I've worked in a couple of legislative offices--done correctly, I've seen it when formal response is being sent, but the elected official knows the recipient--it's not supposed to be a flex so much as a sign that "yeah, my staff wrote this, but I've reviewed it." No idea what Martin is trying for.

Around .004%, I believe. It also funds the inter library loan program, which is one of the most efficient ways of purchasing books, as libraries can circulate copies rather than every library having the same books in their collections.

Aside from being wrong, that makes no sense. Why would someone committing fraud draw attention to that fraud? πŸ™„

Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.

"Mrs. Siemens said people seeking treatment for active measles infections and those who hoped to prevent one were in attendance."

Collecting sick people and unvaccinated people in the same place???

That's probably the end goal. Handlers step in, pay for it out of pocket, and these tools then post this as a "win" on that error-ridden DOGE tracker.

14.03.2025 17:19 β€” πŸ‘ 4    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0
