A project maintaining the health and safety of trees and woodlands, including tree felling, is being carried out on campus from Tuesday 17 March. Get outside in the spring weather by joining a campus treasure hunt organised by the Facilities Team on Tuesday 17 March at 12pm.

I feel one of these two things should have been rescheduled...

I don't suppose any of my followers have access to the MMU (Manchester Metropolitan University) Visual Resources Centre, do they? The Centre has a slide that, if rescanned in high-res, could relieve my obsession. When I last asked, they couldn't find it.
But it *must* be there somewhere, right?

My photo shows a museum display with colourful Minoan pottery cups arranged on three clear shelves, one above the other. These cups, known as Kamares Ware, are from Phaistos, Crete. They were made in palace workshops, c. 1800-1700 BC. The cups range in shape and size from conic and cylindrical cups (top and middle shelves) to hemispherical and carinated shaped cups (bottom shelf). They are decorated with multi-coloured geometric motifs; with spirals and swirls painted in red and white pigment on black.

They look so modern it’s incredible to think they were made during the Bronze Age some 3,800 years ago!

On the old 25" map you can see it is slightly larger than the rest of the terrace even then. I don't think its keyed into the rest of the terrace so it might be earlier than the rest of the terrace.

Also, something similar happened about 20 years ago on Penny Street opposite the Single Step alley where there's a City Block student res. now - a side wall collapsed and smashed a BMW up.

There's that one wall-tie near the side window, but clearly it needed a few more... I think that house was a squat at some time before then... Its the end terrace on the 1900ish maps too, I thought maybe it had had a neighbour at some point, but no...

Last night I dreamt I met someone whose name was "Chefferie" which sound like a lovely girl's name so I looked it up and its French for "Chieftancy" which I had no idea so how the heck did my subconscious come up with that Sigmund?

Just seen a ladybird (US: ladybug) on the holly next to the roses which is just where I want them to be... GET MUNCHING ON THOSE APHIDS!
