I'll admit, I didn't see this one coming. This bumps me up the list of "First they came for..."s higher than I'd expected.

This is only a first reading. If this school board is like others, a proposal can't be enacted until after a second reading, and by then the new school board should already be in place. (It's possible they may have different procedures; I didn't find their procedures through a cursory search.)

I've seen squirrels in trees with nearly that exact pose before, so it seems realistic in that sense. I'm not seeing anything in the picture that triggers my detectors, so I'm inclined to believe it.

I hate that AI-generated images are so commonplace that I have to question things like this now.

Do you not see that you are making the very argument that Kyle made on TV? And yet you continue to criticize him for making that argument.

What I'm defending is not their belief, but Kyle's response to them.

You see them as evil. I see them as misguided, and deserving of education. If you write off people who see the world differently from you, then you never give them a chance for enlightenment. If they reject the explanation, that's on them. But a few will see their mistake and change their minds.

As I understand it, the argument presented was not "those people should starve", but "why not focus on saving these other people from starving instead". And Kyle explained why not.

Most polls close at 7pm local time. Depending on turnout and how close it is, we could know just a few minutes after polls close, or it might take a while to get final results.

I think it's better to address people's expressed concerns than to ignore them, especially when at least some (though perhaps not all) of those concerns seem to be made in good faith.

I know you probably have no control over distribution in other countries, but do you have any insight on when this will be coming to Hulu in Canada? They only have the first five seasons right now. Word was, before the season came out in the US, that US and Canada would get them the same day.
