True - but Clarivate has backed off its timeline after a fierce backlash from librarians. Still - it feels like affordable access is shrinking all the time. Digital lending was the way to go but the courts pretty much put an end to that.

Check with your librarians. We purchase books from this database because they support multiple simultaneous users which means one less purchase for students. They are available to download in multiple formats and have pagination.

I read a lot of student evaluations of teaching. They are problematic in all the ways we know about. Two things stand out. Students are quick to describe professors as kind and generous (high praise!). "I did not dread going to class" is the industry standard.
