UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 5: Vito Marcantonio

There are many who dismiss our vision for New York as impossible. To them, I say we need look only to our past for proof of how we can shape the future.

Tomorrow is Election Day. And this is the final Until It's Done of our campaign.

This isn't a closing election argument, it's Vidkun Quisling explaining why surrender is better than resistance.

Here’s an idea, instead of churning out over-saturated garbage nightmare fuel that destroys the environment and helps make billionaires richer, just hire the frakkin’ artists who train and devote their lives to providing the world with art to, ya know, make art.

SNAP benefits will restart, but will be half the normal payment and delayed About 1 in 8 U.S. residents get an average of $187 a month per person in the food assistance known as SNAP. For the first time, the Trump administration stopped the payments due at the beginning of th...

A court had to force Trump to keep Americans from going hungry β€” and he's still only covering half of this month’s SNAP needs.

He won’t meet to reopen the government or do the bare minimum to feed people. And he couldn’t care less that health care costs are about to skyrocket. Shameful.

This is one of the studies (1885) John Singer Sargent made for 'Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose.' The lanterns which we can see here were painted with very thin layers of paint; this allowed the light to seem like it was emanating from within rather than just sitting on the surface.

Trump administration policies are leaving DC residents like me and my family less safe

- Forcing out top prosecutors
- Diverting resources to deporting hardworking immigrants who have committed no serious crime
- Raising distrust of police so folks won't call MPD if crime is committed

Early this morning, our city still plunged into darkness, I set off to walk the Brooklyn Bridge.

As the sun came up, we were joined by canvassers, labor leaders, elected officials, and working people β€” a movement to bring a new day to our city.

Tomorrow, we win it together.

PROBE RIPS ANDY IN $130M HUD MESS
By Deborah Orin
Published Sep. 10, 2001, 4:00 a.m. ET

WASHINGTON – Federal watchdogs today will testify that Andrew Cuomo’s β€œlax oversight” let crooks loot a housing program for the poor that will now cost taxpayers $130 million to bail out.

At issue is Cuomo’s role as Bill Clinton’s secretary of Housing and Urban Development and his pet home-ownership program for the poor, which collapsed in scandal.

Today’s bipartisan congressional hearing was called by Rep. Sue Kelly (R-Westchester), with Reps. Charles Rangel (D-Harlem) – who backs Cuomo’s gubernatorial rival Carl McCall – and Felix Grucci (R-L.I.) also expected.

β€œDecisions made during [Cuomo’s] tenure opened up this program to widespread fraud and abuse while the concerns of federal investigators were ignored,” Kelly said.

The program was supposed to help poor people fix up housing. But instead, it left tenants stuck in 719 homes – including almost 200 Harlem brownstones – that are mostly a mess, in foreclosure and, in some cases, without heat.

I saw a Cuomo ad last night that was basically "if there's another 9/11, we need a mayor with experience like Andrew Cuomo," and it made me wonder, wait, what was Andrew Cuomo doing on 9/11?

Well, he was probably preoccupied with damage control for this:
