A Boston Globe headline for an analysis piece, with the unstated acknowledgement that Trump has given us no coherent rationale for this war because there isn’t any. At least, no valid reason—impulsivity, a need to from his failures, and taking narcissistic pleasure in dealing out death don’t count.

Technically part of a series, but it totally stands on its own: The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet. I just listened to it, and something about its thoughtful yet light-hearted — and good-hearted — tone seems perfect as a counter to these bleak and angry days.
