I almost became late yesterday, frankly I'd even say that I was late, cause I played some Shining Soul. I'd have absolutely adored that game as a kid. A slower paced ARPG on your GBA with 8 character slots, build variety, and 4 classes to pick? That sounds like heaven to my ears.

And last but not least, Panzer Dragoon Zwei and Wild Blue Skies. Not a lot of complex thoughts about these two games. They are good, fun, and beautiful score-chasing rail shooters. If you enjoy other rail shooters, there's a good chance you'll enjoy these two.

While I didn't play it live, I did try out the Pragmata demo. I was curious about the combination of moving around your character while solving grid-based puzzles, and it does feel fluid to move around, shoot, and doing your mental gymnastics to open up the enemies for extra damage.

Another game, another jump in genre. The best way to describe Seth would be the marrying of modern Arena Shooters with rogue-lite elements. Closest likeness would be to RoboQuest, but Seth focuses more on your single weapon of choice and alterations to your moveset via boons. Fast-paced and fun.

After that, we've got Aeromachina. What a blast it was to play through the demo. The gradual expansion of my moves and how it taught me to take note of various elements in my environment after progress was really well paced. While I did get lost, it felt like a fault of my own, not of the game.

And I'll begin with my highest recommendation, Cutting Edge: roots_of_mutation. I'll admit that my bias is strong, but the gameplay and narrative's close interviewing is powerful enough on its own without comparing it to its inspirations.

I figured, since I played a couple of demos over the last week, I may as well share the ones I had the best time with. All of these demos are on steam and I do recommend giving them a look.
