I think you’re right about crochet here (I wouldn’t know about pottery). I do enjoy seeing yours! I’m just too pigheaded to be a product for Meta. In fairness, I’m not using social media to try to promote a business, so I can make that choice without taking a financial hit.

Yeah here it would make more sense to stay on Standard time year round, but I get why the Mainers would rather have DST year round.

And at no time on this trip did I go into a guitar store and try out semi hollow body electrics. So virtuous.

Two hanks of sock yarn and two braids of fiber laid out parallel on the seat of a car. The yarn and the fiber are all in shades of teal and purple, although the fiber also has a fair amount of white.

I was quite restrained at the fiber festival.

That’s what I ended up doing!

Toe up is my default, but at 9 stitches per inch, I can manage to flub a double wrapped short row heel in low light (sometimes I drop a loop while p3togtbl), and my other preferred heel requires picking up stitches.

That's what I used to do too! But hotel lighting has gotten so bad that it doesn't play well with my aging vision and preference for very thin sock yarn. I can work on a leg or a foot, but I'll have trouble turning a heel in low light.

I guess I have to cancel my trip, Gus is asleep in my overnight bag.

Aaaargh I'm about to leave on an overnight trip but I just finished my active knitting 🧶 project.

A knitted scarf laid out in a on a table. It’s zigzag folded so it goes from lower left to upper right. Ends are cropped out so that knitted fabric mostly fills the frame. Scarf pattern is large short row alternating triangles of garter stitch with an eyelet row every eight rows. The yarn has irregular medium-length color changes of rust, purple, blue-gray, and tan (think: Badlands cliff face colors).

My scarf project “in progress” (blocked, but ends not yet woven in). Volna pattern, light fingering weight 2-ply handspun.
