Baldur's Gate 3 fan comic. The companions sit around the campfire, gossiping about the reunion between Aldiirn and Zahne that went awry. Wyll opens his mind via the tadpole so the others can see his memory of the Aldiirn and Zahne seemingly arguing in drowic. "Aldiirn said they had an old argument over Underdark politics and that Zahne doesn't have faith in a cure to the tadpoles. Our guardian didn't wish to protect them after that, so..." "That's it?" Karlach raises an eyebrow, "All that back and forth and he didn't give a reason?" "From the little said in common, Zahne didn't want to leave the other drow behind," Wyll clarifies best he can. "Oh, it was heated!" Astarion strikes on the drama like a shark smelling blood.

"Aldiirn was right in Zahne's face, yelling at them--" "He raised his voice. Once," Wyll corrects. "And for Aldiirn that's practically shouting!" Astarion continues with fauz concern, "I'm just saying the way he treated his friend was unexpected, at all." Shadowheart finishes a sip of her wine. "I'm more amazed Aldiirn held his tongue as long as he did."

"Zahne would die to crush a few more Lolthite spiders," Shadowheart goes on, "Not very in tune with Aldiirn's points and peace by post philosophies."

"You understand drowic!?" The other three leap on Shadowheart. "I didn't remember that I knew!" She cowers, but how else could she have understood the argument?!

The tadpoles make for a great way of getting everyone up to speed on the adventuring day, and hidden language proficiencies are great for spoiling the leader's careful PR summary. #bg3 #art
