I got this in preparation for Sturgill Simpson’s physical only album release and I am so happy. We used to record ourselves on tape at my grandma’s and this one records, too.

WV governor announced a data center coming to the eastern panhandle.

It will sit on 540 acres and create…125 jobs.

0.23 jobs created per acre by this monstrosity. Not to mention how bad it is for the environment, the economy, and literally for our brains and souls as humans.

A partner actually came up to me in clinic yesterday and said they were really disappointed in the democrats for not standing up for the hockey team, and they thought it was shameful. He regretted saying it shortly after I am sure because I was not in the mood.

PHM is probably one of my fav books of all time. Over half way through Artemis and I’m only finishing it because I hate not finishing books.

I adored The Martian and Project Hail Mary but I am struggling to get through Artemis. The main character isn't likable, and I have no reason to root for her at this point.

If this country was truly “pro-life,” we would have Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, gun reform, universal child care, and a living wage.

The right-wing agenda isn’t about “life.”

It’s about control.

We really liked it!! I’m going to read the book it was based on now.

Every QI project someone comes up with that involves the EMR goes nowhere, because it's an act of congress to change anything in it and even if you do, it's not an efficient and useful way of doing things.

Instead, current process gets maybe a little bit of this information buried somewhere in a chart where I never see it. Useless.

Ideally in clinic the MA would sit with the patient before I come in, go through a vaccination checklist, smoking amount, write down their inhalers, do ACT/CAT and then HAND THE FORM to me as I walk in. I would act on it, put necessary info in my note, and it could be trashed. The end.

A frequent point of contention in my work life: paper vs digital.

Paper lists for rounding, clinic intake forms, asthma action plans, etc. All MUCH more effective and useful than digital, but systems INSIST on everything being digital and it drives me nuts because it just doesn't work.
