I believe you’re brave enough to do it. It just takes that first step (sorry I said so much haha I guess I’m pretty passionate about this now. Imo everyone should experience living abroad. It’s so rewarding)

At the end of the day, your happiness is what’s most important. Would you be happier in another country? If you moved there, do you think the you five years from now will tell you to do it? How do you think you’d feel waking up each morning in a new place?

But what I learned from doing it in the past is that I can’t let fear stop me from being happy. I don’t want to be filled with “what ifs” later on. What if I lived there instead? What if my life would’ve been better if I went for it?

I ended up falling so in love with my life there that I didn’t want to leave. Now all I want to do is have that experience again. It’s scary moving somewhere new, where you don’t know anyone +

Suddenly living in a city, my mind quickly shifted from fear to excitement. No one knew who I was, no one saw me in my awkward phase…I could start over. And I could explore a new place that was so different from where I grew up

But then I went to school. Sure, there’s more structure, and it’s easier to meet people, but I still had to put myself out there, which was new to me. I wasn’t used to having many friends. So I wanted to do things differently

Maybe this’ll help. When I was 19, I moved to canada for school. On my first night alone in my apartment, I was hit with anxiety because I had never been away from my parents like that. I suddenly thought “I shouldn’t do this. I need to go back home”

The fact that you were able to come to terms with this is a huge step towards growth. You’re not expected to have everything figured out in your twenties, but you’re on the right track 🫂 I’m so proud of you, and I’ll always be on your side <3
