It was back to work today and
the first of my, ‘therapist
recommended’ daily strolls.
After my walk I was shocked
to see that I had done almost
20,000 steps and just shy of
10 miles.
This afternoon’s viewing…
Mrs-M and I are watching
Small Prophets and it’s both
weird and wonderful.
Mackenzie Crook never fails
to deliver great television.
I asked the landlord for
Absolution and he suggested
that I try, 3 Ale Marys…
I just spent over an hour
trying to sort the smartwatch
and earbuds Mrs-M bought
for me. In the end I had to
hand them over to my eldest,
who had them all sorted and
connected in 10 minutes.
Happy Birthday Ken…

This one is situated in the
porch of St John’s Church in
the centre of Peterborough.
Happy #SundayYellow to all
those that celebrate. This is
at the beer garden of The
Draper’s Arms in
Peterborough.
At the corner shop…
I give the shopkeeper a hand
and put the papers in the
outside display. Archie and I
discuss yesterday’s football.
Angus says ‘It’s a game of
two halves.’ Martha puts the
kettle on.
This is what happens when a
fully grown adult male is left
in charge of the kitchen…

After my therapist suggesting
that walking would be good
for my mental health. Mrs-M
has been off and purchased
me one of those smart
watches to count my steps
and some earbuds so I can
listen to music or podcasts
while out on my walks.

Beverage:

Mrs-M and I have come into
Peterborough City Centre to
do a bit of shopping and to
exchange our library books.
Happy #SteepleSaturday to
all those that celebrate. This
the magical and magnificent
Peterborough Cathedral.
Happy #PostboxSaturday to
all those that celebrate. This
little beauty is in the village
of Abington near Cambridge.

At the turn of the year, Mrs-M
decided she’d had enough of
Radio 4 and tuned our
radio into #BBCRadio3
Now, as someone who has
never really listened to
classical music before, I
was somewhat sceptical, but
I’ve really started to enjoy it.
At the corner shop…
I put the papers in the outside
display. I remember that
Angus said he would be late
today. Weatherman Wes says
‘today will have, light rain and
a moderate breeze.’ I tell
Archie that I’ll see him at the
football this afternoon.
Martha puts the kettle on.
Film Friday…
‘All The President’s Men’
Alan J. Pakula

On Friday nights after a week
at work, Mrs-M and I like to
settle down at home and
watch a film together.
New read…
‘Look at me’
Anita Brookner

At the corner shop…
As I arrive, Archie is putting
the papers in the outside
display. Angus tells us he’s
got a half day today, but is
in tomorrow. Dan the
mechanic pops in for sugar.
Martha puts the kettle on.
This evening’s viewing…
Mrs-M and I are at the
Peterborough Showcase
Cinema in Peterborough to
see the new Paul Macartney
documentary, Man on the
Run…
I love this mural at the end of
Priestgate in Peterborough.
It was done by two local and
very talented artists, Tony
Nero and Nathan Murdoch.

I’ve been to see my therapist
today and while everything is
fine at the moment, she did
suggest that walking would
be good for my mental health.
The recommendation is that
I aim to do between seven
and ten thousand steps a day.
Mrs-M and I are at Peterborough railway station. Where it’s long been known that Paul Simon wrote the song, Homeward Bound.

When I arrive, Archie has
already put the papers in the
outside display, so I grab mine
on the way in. I tell Archie that
the dawn chorus seems to be
getting stronger every day.
Angus says he saw a pair of
Red Kites the other day.
Martha puts the kettle on.
