As much as people rag on subscription services, wireless earbuds are one of the few use cases where I can honestly say it would be preferable to pay annually and just get access to whatever the latest model might be.

Boy I am not crazy about the fact it is going to cost me $350 Canadian to get a pair of Galaxy Buds 4 Pro and even at that insane price I will still pay it without hesitation because wireless earbuds are essential to my job and no price could be to high to pay for good ones.

Other general advice, don't sleep on cool Northern cities like Hakodate. Eat a burger at Lucky Pierrot, visit the Museum of Northern Peoples, go up the rope way to Mt. Hakodate at night, go see the cities immaculately maintained star fort.

And yes as someone who went to Kyoto in 2009 before it fully got mobbed by tourists I can assure you it was bad then and I'm sure it's immeasurably worse now.

Depending on how long you're thinking of going for my advice is spend less time in Tokyo. Do a week in Osaka instead since you can easily use it as a staging area to make day trips to Kyoto, Hiroshima, Nara, Kobe and a bunch of other places from there.

With drives beginning their upward trajectory you'd think I'd be able to sell my old 10 and 12TB WD Red models for a reasonable discount on eBay but after 6 months of being listed I haven't had so much as a single offer.

I really didn't want to do it but in the end I caved and ordered another 24TB drive. I currently have 50TB of free space but there's no telling what might happen to the storage media market in the next two years so it's best to have a cushion just in case these things become impossible to get.

Here's my first test print making a movement tray for a squad of 40K minis, huge improvement over picking them up one at a time. The next step is to come up with an easy way to make the bottom of the tray work with magnets so the mini snap into and stay put in each slot.

So after watching over 100 Tokusatsu OPs I think the one that gave me the biggest chuckle was Voltasaur Sentai Kyoryuger where you clearly can see the blue ranger commit a war crime as he brutally executes an incapacitated combatant.

Last night I was mere seconds away from buying a laser cutter/engraver because it's only $1200 on sale. Luckily I did a Google search and found out this thing only cuts wood and plastic but can't cut metal unless it's under a millimeter thick. Lame, that isn't going to suit my needs at all.

That being said I think when I eventually upgrade to a fancier printer later this year I'm going to reprint all of these brackets in ABS plastic as opposed to PLA to make them even stronger and more durable.

Last night I found a much better 3D printable bracket design for adding extra shelves to a Detolf cabinet. Specifically this design doesn't require any metal hardware to tension it and just relies on the weight pressing down to add friction and hold everything in place.
