“Rose’s Turn” BROKE me. The places Audra goes to vocally & emotionally—raw & unrelenting, in service to character, story, score—is absolutely astonishing. It was like I was hearing it for the 1st time 😭

How many even do animated projects? I’d never watched the series, but Kathryn is so good in everything—including Agatha—so watched & enjoyed it. Then looked at the ep descriptions, went to the Hela ep(s) & was pleasantly surprised Cate did hers & a ton of other actors as well. Pay must be good too!

I’ve only had it once, back in January. I never used to get bugs — maybe a cold or 2 a decade, and flu maybe every other decade. But I’ve now picked up 3 random bugs this year alone. People have no idea what they’re doing to their bodies

Is it possible to repair shoes, handbags etc where the leatherette stuff starts flaking & peeling off but everything else is in good shape? It’s so annoying & wasteful, so trying to see if I can salvage them? 🥴

For those born into money, absolutely. I don’t think billionaires should exist at all, tho. There’s no way to make that much money without seriously exploiting people or planet. There’s no genuine philanthropy after that — just lipstick on a pig. The real answer imo is social enterprise

Ugh I’m sorry about the Christmas roster — those are loooong days 😭 Do you get weekends off at least? And thank goodness for the nice long “do nothing” break in Feb… Was telling someone the other day I need weeks of “do nothing” before I can contemplate a vacay where I can “do something” 🥴

I feel that. Our office closed on Wednesday but because of my responsibilities & my other “night job”, I’m working through the weekend + probably 2 days next week. Gonna try & take the days back in January when everyone is working tho 😂

Sometimes I think about Joni Mitchell being, like, 22 when she wrote “Both Sides Now”…the wisdom & beauty of that song flowing out of someone so young. Virtually every arrangement or cover of it completely dismantles me…especially her live performances. Such a special song; such a special soul

It really is. I’d never been prescribed them in my life. Now all of a sudden, that’s the rx I’m getting along with 2 of my best friends, for completely different symptoms/issues… And we’re in 3 different cities across 2 countries, with no one holistically looking at solutions to the root cause(s)
