Today I’ve been mostly writing, this time using voice notes and then transcribing, and fleshing out the context. Seems like an arduous process but I’m getting somewhere with this essay, which is the important thing. #IAmWriting #MyLifeAsMarsha

I prosecute and defend the most serious sexual offences in our courts.

The overwhelming majority of offenders are British-born. Overwhelmingly the victim is someone known to them, either a partner or relative.

Anybody purporting to care about protecting women might start there.

My concern over this inquiry is would the lessons identified be learnt?

What the last 5 days of strikes have shown me:
1. Lessons identified are done for a reason, learn from this
2. People not being afraid to roll up their sleeves to ensure services are continued
3. People’s true behaviours show up in crisis, while others are calm, others less so

Government 'desperate' to avoid picket line action Wes Streeting says the strikes, led by the British Medical Association, are "reckless" and everything is being done to minimise the risk of harm to patients.

What’s the point? I along with others engaged FTSU on bullying a few years ago which was kicked in the long grass. The constant gaslighting is exhausting.

Forgot what it was like to travel into the office every day! Remember those days? It has been a busy week that has left me drained dealing with office politics. And that’s before I fully digest the 10 year Health Plan. #work #MyLifeAsMarsha

I would review Change4Life, what worked, what didn’t, what could we do more of and build on this. I would also go wider than obesity because of the stigma, focusing on nutrition focusing on the health of individuals of all shapes and sizes.

I think the review is also an opportunity to look at different types of parental leave for children up to the age of 16. At the start of a child’s life it is right that there’s parental leave, and that take up should be encouraged.

β€˜Robustly manage’ staff who β€˜lack compassion and openness’, NHSE tells trusts Trust chief executives have been told to "robustly manage" staff who repeatedly "demonstrate a lack of compassion or openness" over failings in maternity care.

Irony is not yet dead.
