This is so true. Silence speaks volumes.

It will. A lot of stage 3 clinical trials are done in San Francisco and Japan. We have the best stage 1 research, and admire what some hospitals are doing but it’s usually funded by philanthropy.

This is fine in principle, but my concern is that the NHS isn’t set up to do stage 3 clinical trials. The UK is heavily reliant on other countries to take forward stage 1 research. There’re new cancer treatments available but aren’t implemented due to the high NHS costs, so just about hopeful.

I cannot believe that I’m reading this!
