1/ Tomorrow (4 March), MPs will vote on in-year spending changes the House of Commons Library calls “significant by historical standards”.

Through the Supplementary Estimates, the Government is seeking an extra £36.9bn in day-to-day spending – a 6.8% increase on last Summer’s plans.

Was almost in tears watching this. A moving speech.

I’m discovering that work experience and summer university placements are the same with summer programmes costing £2500 upwards for a one week placement. Not sure which is worse: getting a placement or a part time job on weekends!

The white paper fills me with unease.

He needs to do what feels right for him and glad he was confident to articulate that it would feel too much. At aged 8, encouraged my daughter to buy her own socks and underwear at M&S giving her cash as I was teaching her about money. There’s so much learning outside the classroom.
