So, this morning out in the front yard I saw a hawk try to snatch up a mourning dove.
This afternoon at the dentist, instead of schlocky '80s pop they were playing soft jazz, and I swear, as we were setting up my next appointment, a Sonny Sharrock tune started playing.

Veggie lasagna, with zucchini tomatoes and spinach sprinkled with cheeses, all in a baking dish, prepped and ready to put in the oven.

Just out of the oven, same lasagna cooling on the stovetop, cheese all crispy from the broiler

Lasagna always takes longer to cook than I think it will. Like today, when I started cooking, the sun was still up, and by the time it was finished cooking, half the bottle of wine was gone.

Veggie lasagna, mozzarella crisped under the broiler for a few minutes, in a baking pan, cooling on the stovetop.
