I recently tried to raise funds by listing on fiverr as a beta reader. I've done loads of free beta reading, have a trad pub cv, so forth. It was super glitchy and the AI assistant was useless of course. Escalated to customer service only to find that it, too, is AI. All of it. I stopped trying

Shitty pushy AI. Even simple things are affected. Like, for example, I was going to do a blog interview last summer and come to find out that the interviewer fed my book into AI to generate the questions!!! I backed out. But the damage was done. Hard to get away from it but I keep trying!

sparks? Prowriting aid started as a grammar thing. I never bought it because I'm an English teacher, but at one time they had great free writers' groups on fb and once I joined a group that did Nano together. Of course, now Nano is ass up, so it's all just so enshittified. What is a spark?

Hi y'all. Been away recentering. Not quite there but working on it. Have delayed the release of my second book in series to June and feel really comfortable with that date. That gives me six months to build up. Meantime, (see comment...)

I wanted to write this little book, simple plot, crispy archetypes, and then I met these characters. Well, shit. I set a familiar story in motion, and then I realized they were screaming at me to see the whole point was to upend it
