Portland to pay $8.5M settlement to descendants of displaced Black families On Thursday, Portland City Council approved a settlement for more than 20 people whose homes and businesses were destroyed in the name of urban renewal from the 1950s through the ’70s.

This marks a long-overdue step toward justice and recognition of the pain and loss they’ve endured that had expanded generations.

City of Portland processes Land Use Compatibility Statement for Zenith Energy The State requires the LUCS in order to approve Zenith's Air Permit.

This was non-transparent, even to Councilors - I found out through this press release.

This is not good governance.

Portlanders deserve open processes. You did not receive one on the LUCS. An open process doesn't mean any specific outcome, but it would have been more transparent.
