Legend in the Mist: Session 1

New game time! Tonight I'm starting a campaign of Legend in the Mist, beginning with a flip-through of the PDF and an overview of the system. Come along in one hour, at 19:00 UTC!

But stream deck plugins disagree about this! Some show the current state in the button icon, others show the alternate state! Thankfully the only plugin I've found that doesn't let me configure this is doing it the way I prefer: showing the current state.

But what about a microphone "mute / unmute" toggle? If I'm muted, should it show an icon of a muted microphone (because I'm muted), or should it show an icon of an unmuted microphone (because pushing it unmutes)? I think the muted icon makes more sense here.

For a "play / pause" toggle either way works. If it's playing it could show a "play" icon (because it's playing), but it could also show a "pause" icon (because pushing the button pauses). It's not confusing because you can hear if it's playing, you get immediate feedback.

Setting up a stream deck, I've noticed a toggle button pattern which I'd never really thought about before. If you have different icons for the "on" and "off" states, should the icon show the OTHER state (i.e., show that pushing the button will do), or should the icon show the CURRENT state?

Morkin is done! I retrieved the Ice Crown, but didn't leave enough time to destroy it, so the world ended anyway. Next week some more solo Cthulhu.

Really impressed with the GM book for Legend in the Mist. The adventure design section has great - and specific! - advice on campaign structure, and solo play is given proper consideration rather than just being an afterthought.
