We can even see a similar way to how the two dress, Sliro openly bedecking himself in finery and wealth while Göring’s extravagance of dress was and is still widely known. The two also had an intense focus on wealth in general, and it seems clear Sliro is blatantly misusing- 3/6

So: I see some strong parallels between Sliro Barsha and Hermann Göring. Both were children born from second relationships, both ended up finding a military focus in life, and both were men who rose through cutthroat ranks via associations with criminality and the economy. 2/6

In considering the plight of Barsha Corp as revealed in @mikechenwriter.bsky.social's #StarWars #LowRedMoon, I’ve come to a conclusion about a major character important to this book, but also the game #StarWarsOutlaws. Spoilers lay ahead for both stories, but especially #Outlaws! 1/6

-harassed the Germany business community and showed that not even fellow conservatives were safe from persecution in the wake of their rise to power. Next time, I’ll bring up an interesting parallel I detected, and while it veers more into discussion of #Outlaws, it still impacts Low Red Moon! 4/4

-They supported them, they aided them, but the Barshas and GIs were ultimately tools to power for both the Nazis and the Empire. What happened to the Barshas also likely warned the other family-owned megacorps to stay in line, such as TaggeCo for example, much in the way the Nazis- 3/4

Certainly, Barsha Corporation seems to have been doing well in the early stages of the Empire, but its value was ultimately deemed too significant to the newly settling military industrial complex of the Empire to operate independently.- 2/4

In looking at @mikechenwriter.bsky.social's #StarWars #LowRedMoon, I felt strong links between the Barshas’ situation, and that of the German industrialists after the Nazis rose to power. Like the GIs, the Barshas supported the changing government of the time, but neither fully understood- 1/4

-hilarious if she met him in the criminal underworld one day, and she asks if he ever attended Bar'leth, and he has to lie. That she heard about a handsome, stuck-up rich kid named Jaylen who traveled a bunch, and almost flunked an easy class she liked. 2/2

Oh absolutely! I’m deeply excited to go back and pick out the various mentions of good ol’ UoB! Thanks for including it in this story, I hope Star Wars sees more mentions of higher education going forward, always intriguing, and great connective tissue!

-for how they helped answer questions, but also showed a true spirit of teamwork between family members, friends, and other creatives who have worked on Star Wars over the years...and for those who read the novel, the concept of teamwork is an important one. Hope to see more SW from MC soon! 3/3

I got #StarWars Outlaws: Low Red Moon a few days early, and I decided to sit on my thoughts until release day. Well, release day is here, and I greatly enjoyed my time with the novel! @mikechenwriter.bsky.social crafted a great story that fits very well into the wider universe and video game, - 1/3

-Jedi Temple Outpost on Ord Trasi as Sanlys, and where Sanlys is generally calm and a bit of a dry wit, Varmass is stoic, direct, and deeply explorative. He's uneasy around the mischief Younglings and Padawans can make, and looks to strongly follow the rules. But, he is not mean! Just serious. 3/3

-Padawan status, but is instead a cultural element of his homeworld, Noyaron, where males braid their hair as they age. He is based on (seemingly) unused concept art for #StarWars #TheHighRepublic and I like to imagine the concept art image represents his sister! He is stationed at the same- 2/3

-to the flesh and blood Kin, and I've included as many as I can within my built army. These two are both in my Kindred's Votannic Council. Arthur was incredibly methodical, carefully working with me to make sure the end result was what I wanted. They're a stellar person to commission from!
