From 1 April 2025, Provost Skene's House will be open April-October, Thursdays to Mondays 10am-5pm (Sundays 11am-4pm).

Aberdeen Art Gallery and Aberdeen Maritime Museum will continue to open Mondays to Saturdays 10am-5pm and Sundays 11am-4pm.

This tea set’s unusual design has been recently identified as 19th Century Barvas Ware, through the Rationalisation project. Made on the Isle of Lewis in the tradition of craggans, Barvas Ware was hand built by local women and ‘glazed’ with milk on a peat hearth.

We have an extensive collection of beautiful glassware from the Scottish glassmaker Caithness Glass in the collection already; but excitingly, the Rationalisation Project recently revealed these 2 stunning 4022 bud vases from maker Domhnall O'Broin!
