You can’t debate conspiracy theorists and germ theory denialists.
You expose them.
Very strong statement from the First Lady of Iraq:

Democrats may not be able to prevent Mullin's confirmation, but they can certainly turn his track record of offense and stupidity into two days of televised humiliation so spectacular that he is wounded in Trump's eyes from day 1. That is the job.

I’ve spent years, decades, obsessing over the Bush Administration’s Iraq WMD lies, writing about them, debunking them.
I can think of no lie about Iraq WMDs told by Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al that comes even close to the enormity and absurdity of this lie from Donald Trump.
Your ‘mild’ infection can cause vascular damage. We need to stop seeing COVID as mild. Notice how much of the media don’t refer often to post infection risks and when they do, they talk about the fatigue, not heart damage or blood clots. They reserve those comments for alarmist vaccine posts.

Quietly, calmly and forensically, BBC just dismantled the Trump communications shitshow on Iran.
No hyperbole, just laying out an unprecedented military, diplomatic and reputational shambles.
Worth a watch.

In 2020, trump said it was “stupid” that America spent trillions on Middle East conflicts while our healthcare, roads, and schools needed fixing.
Now look what he’s doing.
Same wars. Same costs.
Same neglect at home.
The only thing that changed was the excuse.
It is so damning of US news media that so many outlets refuse to just straight up say that Senator Tim Sheehy assaulted an activist.
He did not "help" Capitol police. They did not need his help. He wanted to assault the guy and did. He should resign.
we protected my mom from COVID for 5 years. She caught it at the hospital during an outbreak in the dialysis ward (!!) and died 5 days later.
we will do nothing with this information as a society
One could argue that hastening Armageddon is their goal.

A sign of the absolute incompetence of the Trump administration: Hegseth and Caine admitting Iranian drones were proving a bigger threat than they anticipated.
Not as if they hadn’t been in active use in Ukraine for years. Too stupid and arrogant to pay attention.
"It should have been intuitive that a virus killing adults would not be perfectly safe for children to catch, but economic and political interests were behind the wheel- not kids’ wellbeing- as pundits and influencers raced to proclaim that children would not and could not be hurt by infections."
03.03.2026 23:29 — 👍 21 🔁 10 💬 0 📌 0Reinfection is problematic “It can be problematic if you are reinfected,” Dr. Rouhbakhsh said. “We know from a pretty elegant study that was recently published in Nature Medicine that each subsequent COVID infection will increase your risk of developing chronic health issues like diabetes, kidney disease, organ failure and even mental health problems.” Such evidence “dispels the myth that repeated brushes with the virus are mild and you don’t have to worry about it,” he added, noting that “it is akin to playing Russian roulette.” That is why “you want to try to avoid reinfection if possible. That should not be the mechanism by which you aspire to get immunity from the virus,” Dr. Rouhbakhsh said. New COVID-19 variants play a role “The virus is constantly changing, similar to what the flu viruses do and similar to all the things that give us our typical colds. They adapt, they have new variants that emerge, and these can cause reinfection,” said Dr. Rouhbakhsh. “Omicron has really been an efficient spreader of disease with its subvariants becoming particularly good at evading what protection we already have from previous infection or vaccines.” Now, at this stage of the pandemic, “we have some epidemiologic data that there are some BQ subvariants of Omicron in the U.S. and that's BQ.1 and an offshoot called BQ.1.1,” he said. “These are descendants of the BA.5 Omicron subvariant and they have some mutations on the spike protein that help it evade immunity created by both vaccines and previous infection.”
Each COVID reinfection "will increase your risk of developing chronic health issues like diabetes, kidney disease, organ failure and even mental health problems.”
"it is akin to playing Russian roulette” with your life.
Avoid reinfections. 😷
