A must-read! The admin has deactivited the NPS webpage about Publick Universal Friend. The granular nature of their relentless erasure of 🏳️‍⚧️ life still shocks.

Can’t help but point out that this admin, through erasure, just affirmed the Friend’s transness (…while historians still duke it out).

The 19th century abolitionist movement utilized a diversity of tactics and engaged in constant critical internal debate in the mission to end slavery. The movement needed speeches, lawyers, lawbreakers, newspapers, and armed resisters. History teaches us that freedom requires all of the above.

Can’t wait to see where this takes the anti-abortion argument that an (undifferentiated) embryo is a person with legal rights.

Such a valuable concept, “carceral eugenics.” We know far more about the eugenic foundations of the prison reform movement than the eugenic foundations of corporate regulatory law. I look forward to reading more on the role eugenics played in the creation of white-collar crime.
