i think its understandable why artists can churn out personal art quicker than comms sometimes, I mean if I get my own characters details wrong or its a bit inconsistent, its not gonna hurt anyone, but for a paid piece of work uh YEAH, there's real stakes in it now!

All cartoonists must make the expressions the character they're drawing is making, which is why I'm grimacing horribly at my cintiq at 9pm on a Monday night.

Yo, baby girl (or guy or whatever you are) it's okay if you experience burnout to the point that you can't draw for a while. You don't owe the world your art or nothin'. If you force yourself to try harder, you're gonna be miserable. Take the break and take it easy on yourself.
