The GLD/PLD questline doesn’t happen at all in Lume’s canon. She learns her initial skills in the mercenary guild & later has Haurchefant & Aymeric as her PLD mentors.

Killed him, he had her captured & forced to pay off her debt by either working in a brothel or as a mercenary, she opted for the latter.

OOC: people have tried to pressure me to ERP, had a few stalkers, was being pressured to join a polycule, the list goes on.

IC & OOC: she’s a Miqo’te, so she’ll put out.

Aymeric as WoL AU Americ is the WoL after he had visions from Halone urging him to look for the Scions, that he'd need their help in saving Ishgard. ARR & HW happen, then comes StB & enter Lume. After the death of her clan due to the calamity, she found a hidden box with her father's letters to his mother & decided to answer her summons. She travels to Kugane & joins the Mori clan, her paternal clan, run by the current matriarch, who happens to be her grandmother. Her name is changed from Lumeria to Akari, to better fit in Kugane. Thankfully she knew the local language and dialect thanks to her father teaching her from birth. Picking up social etiquette, on the other hand, took a bit of time, but she was successful.

She trained to become an heir candidate, not knowing what else to do with her life. She suppressed a lot of her pain & trauma to become an exceptional SAM & she was ready to eventually be matched with someone & be married, that is until she met Aymeric & the Scions. Lume had heard rumors about them & was intrigued to know what they were up to. As an immigrant, she knew all too well how easy it was to be misunderstood, but she wouldn't be lying if her curiosity wasn't getting the better of her, besides, it had been boring until she came across them. She had her own small, private residence in Shirogane, something that her grandmother wasn't a fan of, but gave into, at least while Lume remained unmarried. She takes the Scions there & listens to their story. As someone originally from Eorzed, she was well aware of the situation with the Garleans & was sympathetic to the Scions' cause, however, the only way to get the Mori clan to listen, would be to defeat the clan favorite, earning one request (I'm still developing this, but it's the basics at least).

In a role reversal from Lume's canon, she offers to become Aymeric's SAM mentor & thus begins their slow burn relationship from mentor/mentee, to friends, to eventual lovers (in ShB or EW, I'm not sure). Axmeric is successful in getting the Mori clan's help & Lume makes the decision to join him and the others in his journey, insisting to her grandmother that she never wanted to become the heir & now she's found a new purpose in helping in the war efforts. Her and Alisgie end up getting whisked away together to the First. She ends up joining Lyng's squad and learns DNC from her. She uses her time there to reflect on where she is in life, quite the adventure, but also on the growing feelings that she has for Americ. She comes to the realization that she might very well be in love with him, but that now it's not the time for it. Besides, it was very likely one sided. But even if he didn't love her back, she still looked forward to her future, even if that meant being on her own. She was finally free from the clan & could be whoever she wanted, although she rather be back doing that at the Source than being a sort of spirit in the First.

As for Americ & his feelings? He is a romantic at heart, but he takes his role very seriously. He definitely makes a strong bond with Lume during her mentorship. They both get to know about each other a lot during their time together & they trust each other implicitly. There are times, however, that he sees the less guarded side of her that makes her shine in his eyes and he can't look away. His heart skips a beat whenever he finds her among the camp and he tries not to stare too long. He would've chalked it up to him not being used to being around Miao'te, but that would be a lie. Everything she did captivated him & he couldn't figure out why. Then he saw her in battle & he became mesmerized. She was an exceptional warrior, who encapsulated both grace & discipline as a samurai worthy of the Mori name. Yet, outside battle, she was kind, mischievous & friendly. What could this feeling be?

No idea why this came to mind, but here’s my “Aymeric is the WoL & Lume is his SAM mentor” AU that somehow has a death grip on my mind right before going to bed.

if you're one person making a comic by yourself, don't treat yourself like you should function on the same level as comics that have multiple people working on them. your backgrounds can be squiggles and colors.
