My last four pony projects ended up around 450GB each. This is quite a lot.
By comparison, Dinky's Destiny was only 23GB of stuff.

One problem with the project is the scale it has. Trying to keep that within reasonable boundaries is definitely a challenge, given how unusual this project is compared to everything else I've made so far.

So I'm trying to tackle as much animation as I can before Everfree Northwest. The production is going mostly smoothly.
I think this time around I'll be able to tackle renders later into the production.

I went to a Homestuck panel with a friend at a convention and it made me more confused about what this is about.

I had an argument with a musician about that exact thing years ago. I told him his piece was giving really weird artifacts on my cheap headphones, and he'd tell me it's not a problem on fancy headphones.

Probably. I can see a parallel where in the original they changed the silver slippers from the book to ruby ones to be a better showcase of the power of the technicolor process
However, that was an adaptation. Here this feels like changing a movie to be used as an advertisement for a new big screen.

In this specific case, the DNR is taking so much processing time that switching to hardware encoding wouldn't even change the export time.

The panel footage from CanFURence is still processing. The whole panel happened in low light, so a dose of DNR won't hurt.
The render time on the other hand will hurt.

Internally, Apple engineers planned this device as a cost-reduced alternative to the 150 by using two cheaper and smaller LCDs in place of a bigger one.
The second trackball was added so people would feel like they were getting something extra out of that deal.

It could be used for that, but in this case this is just used for tracking purposes.

Unfortunately Android doesn't have the ability to let two applications use cameras at the same time, so I have to tape two separate devices to make it work.
It seems like the gimbal can handle the extra weight, but the combination is very tricky to use properly.

It's very convoluted and I feel most of it would be fixed with some software instead.
ZY Cami's app is the only app that lets me use AI tracking to make the gimbal follow a moving subject.
The app however sucks at video recording, so I need a second device to actually do the video recording.

It's also worth noting it probably also looks bad because executives wanted it to look a certain way, forcing artists to do their best under a style that just didn't suit the project.
For example how they couldn't use a shallow depth of field to get a look like the original movie.

I can't really be surprised anymore. We've had a bunch of "AI" projects that turned out to have used extensive amounts of VFX to get done. This one has no reason to be different.
AI just won't do the things you want it to do.
