My approach to mitigate under/overexplaining?

Avoid saying "you" to make the person feel singled out

Creates low-risk open dialogue if underexplained, especially since they understand it's ok to not know (most ppl don't) & ask

Derisks and contextualizes you overexplaining to someone knowledgeable

Reminder to call your parents.

And make plans to spend more time with them outside of a single holiday visit each year.

PSA: you can tweak the replies you see in your home feed.

Looks like the default is only showing replies with at least 2 likes.

If you follow only a few people and want to see more of their discourse through replies, you might want to lower that count

Sheng is goated, tend to like it aged minimum 5 yrs, but 10ish is about the sweet spot for me.

I'll enjoy just about anything that whose primary flavor isn't vegetal (prob underaged) or muscatel grapes. The muscatel one was just one sample, and I just very much do not like muscatel in general.

Sometimes am coming across a reply to an OP that has been deleted, but it's not very obvious that it was a reply (instead of an OP itself) in the first place.

Some thought that personal computers were too complex for the general public, but we now have the tools to make them useful for everyone.

Sometimes you need to make a tool accessible before most people find utility in it. I find accessible algorithms to be a worthy endeavor.
