in sky so blue
may I please have
an ask of you
a streak of light
that I might shine
when cloud and moon
do spar

a wish upon a star

how is one, obsessed,
expected to extract
the tentacles of want
a viperous grip
does choke the air
of all reason

the object of desire
even one’s fear of self-destruction
