Tried again when I fed them to invite my friendliest inside. He peeked in the open door then ran to the feeding spots. Stubborn.

How cold is it this morning? I’m practically begging my cats to let me finish my coffee before snuggles. Ain’t working.

First taste of winter weather coming tomorrow but the cold is already here. Forecasts can’t agree so it’s somewhere between 1-4”. Of course tomorrow it could change to 5+ or nothing.

The wind last night was awful but the cat shelters were fine.

I can eat what I want, lounge in my Snuggie, play games, binge Cdramas, and treat the cats. I might even go back to bed whenever the cats let me.

Hope y’all enjoy the day in some way as much as my cats enjoy hogging the bed.

Well Happy Thanksgiving I guess. I know it’s not happy for all, and the crud is making it much less enjoyable for me. Oh well, it’s a day off and i get tomorrow off too. The volunteers at my shelter are awesome so me and the other employees can enjoy the day.

Distracting myself from the big things. Staying home for Thanksgiving so help me decide on dinner:

1. A Quartermaine Dinner - pizza (GH fans get this)

2. A Snoopy Dinner - pretzels, popcorn, jelly beans, & toast

3. Hot turkey sandwiches & whatever munchies are around

(Ordering out is too much.)

Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

You know one day you will be one of them? Sickness and accidents happen. We all age. You’re showing people how to treat you when it’s your turn. They see it now and will remember it then. Think on it.

Well the bike shed idea didn’t work. Not to be used for animals so I’m returning it. Got current feral cat shelters cleaned, patched, and packed with fresh straw.

One of my not-feral cats turned up sick so I brought him inside. Warmth and good food already have him better. He’s liking inside life.

I know, sporadic posting. Honestly it’s info overload. Also busy with cat stuff. Have to clean & prep the outdoor cat shelters for winter. Got something new this year. The portable shed to cover the shelters was great, but they’ve shredded it walking on top. Trying a portable bike shed. Dumb idea?

Kinda had the same thought.

Someday I hope we get to see all the shit he has on these guys. Must be epic to spout all this crap.

Is it weird that the highlight of my day was hearing Radio Gaga in the grocery store?

I could complain about the latest crap some of my conservative family posted on FB.

Or I could show the true sign of autumn. My feral cats, especially the two friendlies, love laying on the hood of my car after I pull up from work. Toasty!

Also, sorry for laughing at the Rapture jokes as much as I have been. I know it’s funny/not funny.

Could I also ask for direction on what to do with wisdom? I’m still kinda lost.

Dear God,

Thank you for a nice cool morning so I could sit on my porch to enjoy my coffee with my (sorta) friendly community cats.

Thank you for the wisdom I’ve been praying for. I know not to take this Rapture stuff seriously anymore. Still kinda wish for it. Then this shitshow would end? Right?

I want to go to bed. My cat wants me to be her bed.

I’m thinking I should just permanently set my ring tone to Cult of Personality.

Nothing to say really. I could complain but comparatively it’s minor crap. Have enough for me and the cats. I’m grateful.

Though I admit, it would be nice to have a little more to share and to buy a better grade of coffee.

Things need to get done and done better. Finch is helping but I need to do more than just the basics. I need to feel more again. The empathy is still there just … way too calm.

Sorry, I’ve been taking social media breaks every few days. I check in just enough to keep up but I need to give some time back to myself. I’ve become so numb and it’s just not healthy.

I also need to give more time back to the rest of my life.

I hope you don’t mind me petting my cats while I pray. They insisted right before ‘lead us not unto temptation’. I wasn’t giving in to temptation. I was following orders. I mean, you’re the one who made cats so bossy.

Anyway, they’re purring so I guess that’s reward enough. Thanks.

The long holiday weekend was good and not good. The car repair is done but the fireworks in my area were insane and annoying. Scared the crap out of my outside cats.

One of mine was not doing great. The vet visit had little good news. Lost him days later. Now another is sick.

God, a break please?

My suggestion? Skip fireworks. Give that money to some folks with mutual aid requests. After yesterday there’s a lot and will be more.

I will stay inside, snack, and comfort my cats. They hate this holiday, too.

Be proud of hate, greed, racism, bigotry, and self-destructive stupidity? As if! I no longer have hope for this nation, only hope for better days for better people.

My neighbors have been gleefully blowing up stuff for days. Last night someone didn’t stop til 2am.

Nothing fancy, just some yummy enhancements to foods I already had. Gonna clean a little, nap a little, maybe read, play video games, a little yard work, cuddle cats, sort and declutter, watch videos, listen to podcasts.

I will not celebrate today. Celebrate what?

And I’m happy with simple pleasures. Neighbor shared some free food with me, including some bags of tortilla chips. So I’m gonna mix up some simple nachos. I found some apple fritters on the clearance rack. I have the fixings for a sweet treat. I “splurged” on some chips and dip.

So it will be a few days of simple stuff. Can’t really afford much anyway.

My paychecks disappear fast: bills, groceries, a little savings, a few small donations. Yes, I know. It’s not great. But it’s getting better. I’m not gonna stop sharing because there’s real need out there. I’d rather help.

Many times I had to opt for cashing it out for needs, mostly car repairs.

Now, I’m better at seeing rest as a need. The relief at not having to set the alarm! Ironically I can’t go anywhere because of another car repair.

Same problem. The part failed. It’s under warranty but still sucks.
