Despite pleas from Gov. JB Pritzker to pause federal immigration enforcement operations while children celebrate Halloween, teams of Border Patrol agents — including one led by Cmdr. Greg Bovino — tore through Chicago’s Northwest Side and nearby suburbs.

ICE/CBP has reportedly been targeting laborers in the area all morning. A large number of neighbors are gathered outside a house where agents snatched a man. His lunch is still here on the ground.

Area is clear of feds for now, gas deployed earlier.

I went for a walk in the Discount Mall yesterday after the tear gassing outside. It was empty. A bunch of vendors didn’t even bother showing up. No customers. Security watching a door, keeping others padlocked and only letting people in one by one. The immigration raids are a local recession.

Federal agents detain Little Village high school student, deploy tear gas in faceoff with protesters Feds wearing military-style camouflage gear and gas masks were seen tear-gassing and pepper-spraying protesters during the confrontation near a discount mall.

The Sun-Times is reporting Border Patrol took at least two teenage boys today when they hit Little Village, again.

One is said to be a 16-year old student, U.S. citizen, and student at Benito Juarez Community Academy.

Federal Judge Ellis has tried to curb ICE/Border Patrol use of tear gas. In the video we reviewed, there were no clear warnings from the federal agents.

The judge will issue a ruling tomorrow. Govt attorney said they considered releasing him pending his case ongoing but the “client” said no because Torres didn’t cooperate with his arrest

Border Patrol returned to the O'Hare rideshare lot today after taking 11 people on Saturday 10/18. No official word yet on how many were detained.

When we visited yesterday, drivers told us it was very empty for a Sunday.

Last Friday 10/10, they took 18 people here (it's city-owned property).
