I feel as though I'm having another breakdown. My emotions are flip flopping and its bad news after bad news, and I've done terrible shit. Need to log off, see you eventually.

One of our big problems is that we have effectively no ideological allies. Paramount is willing to do insane shit to buy WB, and the government will help them, because they have a shared ideological project. Netflix only cares about making money.

Now it gets interesting... and a lot of folks at CNN are anxiously crossing their fingers that Netflix comes through and matches Paramount.

It also remains to be seen if Netflix just agrees to take on the cable assets -- rather than let them be spun off -- in order to force the deal through.

Absolute fucked situation when you're pulling for Netflix's monopolistic buyout to win over the Ellison's.
