I’m so sick of people throwing their hands up and saying abolishing ICE isn’t possible right now. Abolishing ICE is extremely popular and calls to do so will only continue to grow, meanwhile conservatives manage to do incredibly unpopular things all the time because nobody stops them

I did in fact invest in tulips and daffodils this year. :P

Got me thinking about how many things I use regularly that come from abroad. It’s gonna start getting real inconvenient real fast for all of us Americans.

The tariffs are already causing chaos with international shipments. Tried to buy a drone for agricultural surveying purposes and couldn’t get it through customs. Customer service was like “yeah we are getting zero info, prob should just get a refund”

I’ll admit the onboarding process for the open federated web is a bit unnecessarily complex. Some app developers were working to make it easier but I never saw much traction with regular folk before I ultimately ended up abandoning the platform myself to focus on other things.

Honestly can’t figure out why this platform won out over much more feature rich open source platforms like Mastodon. GIFs work just fine over there :P
