Not quite a brown shrike, prior appointment stopped me twitching, but great to watch this Hobby (and briefly a second bird) in Cardiff today. Generally perched but moved the second it saw a butterfly. Magpies went from being ok with it to chasing it off for some reason.

I didn’t vote for this govt but am still disappointed in it but I think clearing the backlog and need for lengthy housing of thousands of people who everyone knows have valid claims is far better than the hotel system

I think the messaging often is and that’s awful. I think the use of hotels in the first place was because the tories had no interest in processing and instead wanted to hand housing and security contracts to donors. The system needs to be much quicker and process the backlog
