Millions depend on SNAP-I am one of them. I will be hit hard next month but I am worried about the working mother with 2 or 3 kids. What will she do when Thanksgiving comes and her kids are not in school for lunch over the long weekend?

I hold a PhD but can only work part time. I am SO grateful for what I get from SNAP but please don't think I'm eating high end food. I shop at Walmart to make the money last-but it does NOT last the whole month.

Due to the federal government shut down, the US Dept of Agriculture has informed the State of CO that NOV 2025 SNAP benefits cannot be issued at this time.
