They’re throwing so much shit at our democracy, we don’t know where to focus. Here’s a thought: impeach Pam Bondi. Restore the rule of law. Restore oversight of the justice department for real. Pressure your reps. Consider moving.

I can type this in a public space because it is not too late.

I guess I know what I would be doing in Nazi Germany. Because I know enough about history, I understand where we are. Even when you know, it still does not provide clairvoyance. We remain on the path into fascism. It is too late to hold him accountable for the crimes he committed as #45.

Russia and China, have ramped up recruitment efforts targeting US federal employees—particularly those recently fired or at risk of termination. These efforts are unfolding aggressively on LinkedIn, where adversaries are reaching out under the guise of job opportunities, networking, and consulting.

There are two conflicting ‘ways of being’ that are core to the success of humanity as the dominant species on earth. One is simple Darwinism: survival of the fittest. The next is that of collectivism. We are stronger together.

We cannot [successfully] weed out either component.

I have come to the conclusion that it is not possible to weed out the bad elements and create a perfect society. We are individuals who are imperfect. I do not claim to always practice what I preach myself. Our goal, as a society should be to minimize the damage, and maximize opportunity.

When people talk about the battle between good and evil, they are really talking about the need to belong vs the need to be unique/special.

It is not about who is right or wrong, but how we coexist. I have spent my adult life (40ish years) trying to figure out how to design the perfect society

I have had an epiphany. I have tried my entire life to understand why we [humans] are not one big, happy family. I was still prepubescent when I realized that the great truths of the universe were not about a particular religious belief, but likely about what they shared.

Trump and Vance just embarrassed America in front of the world. The only person happy about their despicable performance is Putin.

Hot tip for the next two years: a Republican bill does the opposite of what it’s called.

A GOP bill defunding schools that mandate vaccines would be called the “Protect our Schools Act.”

A GOP bill raising the retirement age for social security would be called the “Retire With Dignity Act.”

Only if they plan to drop the charges to relieve themselves of that burden. The public need for the information outweighs the value of prosecuting the petty accomplices.
