Rose had a good article breaking down some of the pitfalls of RCV. I recommend Minneapolis folks giving it a read.

But is there any other candidate thats going to enter the race at this point?
26.10.2025 21:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Do you think there is a another candidate waiting in the wings? What do you want him to do with the money he's raised?

29.08.2025 20:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It is without question that the National Labor Relations Board has transformed itself under Ronald Reagan into an active and conscious proponent of the destruction of labor unions, of American industrial democracy, and ultimately, of workers' rights and prosperity. Not only has labor law failed, labor law as administered by the National Labor Relations Board has become an active factor in the destruction of the rights of ordinary working men and women. It has become a conscious weapon in the hands of the special interests. No amount of parsing of Board decisions or suggestions for administrative reform will change this. The day has long past for such quibbles.
apropos of the SpaceX case: here's a 1987 argument from Richard Trumka, then-President of UMWA, on why labor law had failed and the NLRB had turned into a trap.
i still don't know whether i fully endorse it, but it's a read that'll stick with you. researchrepository.wvu.edu/cgi/viewcont...
It's 27 votes now btw. 25 npc / 2 ydsa chairs

29.06.2025 17:26 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I guess what I mean is I'm not sure if Zarrow and Ali coendorsed each other it would have mattered... but maybe.
Atleast for dsa I still think it's better for us to only endorse one candidate in rcv elections.
My reading is the co-endorsement worked partly because zohran was the only one in striking distance of Cuomo according to polls. The fact zohran was able to own the left lane probably has a lot to do with dsa giving the important boost rather than left infighting.

20.06.2025 16:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 02nd one is about the 1m1v fed endorsement. It narrows it down to presidential and requires a npc majority to initiate. If dsa really wants to bootstrap a candidate for president then we need a way to engage members throughout the org.

First we got administrative over political an amendment to 50 state resolution. The original resolution has a why not both approach but I think it's worth having a discussion about the utility of statewide chapters vs statewide formations.

Alright I got two amendments looking for signatures. Amendments are how we allow nuance into convention it would be great if you help me get these onto the agenda.
