and now i'm especially at the point where i'll confidently beat my chest about being an artist. that's a big part of who i am. i create art!! it comes directly from me and that's absolutely something to be proud of

i don't really like to talk about 𝒜𝐼 shit for obvious reasons, but I do want to say. the increase in its prevalence has, weirdly, if anything, made me prouder than ever to be an artist. i used to be meek about calling myself a genuine artist, and would instead call myself ~a guy who draws sometimes~

i'm choosing to interpret the angels' attitude problem towards the nahobino as plain old homophobia instead of the more complicated actual reason now. but if we're being honest it's probably both of these things

and it's hard to articulate that to them, because it's not like i want to stop offering help. but i don't know exactly how to explain that the way they are asking for it isn't super considerate of my own perspective or schedule etc. it would be so much easier if i could just say "the vibes are off"

on one hand, i appreciate that my family trusts me enough to call on me whenever they need help with things. i like being helpful! on the other hand, it seems my willingness to help out is... maybe being exploited to the point where i feel more like a useful tool rather than a person

Knowing that I'm kind of a complicated person (we all are, really) while being very careful about what select parts of myself feel okay to share and express is exhausting. A lot of the time it's easy to see that greater complexity of me as a burden or something ugly and undesirable

i'm glad someone else brought this up, because i thought about it all throughout the game. it feels almost purely like an alliance of convenience where their goals just happen to align perfectly, aside from a few scenes of like, DK directing a happy expression at pauline sometimes. it's really funny
