However, last week's closure of the Sustainable Farming Incentive threw the farming sector into more uncertainty.

Gov't needs to commit support to farmers converting to organic who are now at risk of being left behind + those transitioning to pesticide-free, nature-friendly farming. 3/

You guessed it: organic! For decades, organic farmers have farmed in harmony with nature, using a more holistic approach to pest management without the hazardous, synthetic pesticides that the NAP is seeking to reduce. 2/

The UK published its National Action Plan on sustainable use of pesticides today:

✅Sets the UK's first pesticide reduction target
✅Encourages uptake of Integrated Pest Management
