GEOPAths GO Jamaica is an NSF-supported program to introduce students to the geosciences by working on conservation projects with communities in Jamaica. Undergrad and grad students from the US and Jamaica collaborate with researchers and conservation experts to solve environmental problems.

I should mention that I don't have external support to send fancy versions out for free this time, but the games are pretty cheap.

Things are pretty awful in the US right now, so I am trying to channel my nervous energy into creative and educational things...

So I'm designing a new geoscience education game for my freshman class. It's a quick play card game about the geological timescale... Anyone want to play this semester?

Mass extinction/Paleozoic friends... I have some folks in my Extinction class eager to read about Paleozoic biotic crises, so what's your favorite paper/papers about these events? Both new/exciting and classic/seminal work in the field would be appreciated. Self promotion welcome 😜.
