I would immediately ask whatever pub picks this up to bring on @jpjordan.bsky.social for his amazing colors, I think we can have a lot of fun contrasting a realistic style with some bombastic color scenes

Man I have so many ideas for this book. The baby driver influence is in Carmen aka the Mcs obsession with Comics and anime. So sometimes when she gets into the zone I’d draw the scenes in a different style like her imagination running wild.

And the last ramble of ideas is that at the heart of it would be the stories I heard from actual street racers. About the mechanic who smoked everyone in a duster, or the band girl who would had big ass subwoofers in her car and would wear earplugs as she blasted the bass to mess with other racers

I would also want the lettering to have a HUGE impact on the story. Like one of my favorite aspects in baby driver is when the music starts to play you can see the graffiti on the walls, I think Carmen would do something similar where she would imagine SFX, race and scene changes baked into the bg
