Ask your kids to grade your parenting and just see what they say. The answers are always insightful and sometimes they're also very funny.

Perception is reality. Don't just assume your kids have the same perception as you about what's going on.

When you hurt your kids feelings, apologize to them.

You can't control the world but you have some control over what things in the world your kids are exposed to. Where you have no control over exposure, you can still have some control over the knowledge your kids intake.
