Kansas invalidates IDs and birth certificates of transgender people Kansas' new anti-transgender law, SB 244, invalidates driver's licenses and birth certificates for over a thousand transgender people.

- This will not be the last attack on the trans community in Kansas or in the country, and the ACLU has a long history of fighting to protect our civil liberties including LGBTQ+ causes, racial justice, reproductive rights, and immigrants’ rights.

The auction will last just one week, so that any money raised can be put to use by Kansas ACLU as quickly as possible.

We don’t know what might happen in the meantime. If we’re lucky, the bill will get walked back or overruled. Should that happen, we will still donate the amount to ACLU Kansas. -
