Really, this building and its proximity to the building next door is an acoustical nightmare. The hardwood floors downstairs bounce sound off ceilings and walls (no rugs or much furniture), all the sound going out the windows bounces off the wood of the parallel building… literal sounding board.

Been non-stop living in noise-cancelling headphones just to get a little peace from the onslaught… but can’t sleep in them. Being a renter sucks.

Suffering from assault by audio this morning, no rest for the weary. Neighbor starts up with bellowing talk radio, TV, or maybe angry sermons? at 8am, with open windows, and you can hear it from below and magnified by bouncing off the building next door. Can hear it through the panes of my windows…

Let's talk about that poster on the right, and the way the text is formatted. About as "1984"-esque as possible... I'd expect that in an HBOMax series on the book (or the The Man in the High Castle, or something)...

It feels like we are back to the days of 60s-70s super computers, where you didn’t own it, you showed up with your punchcards for your alloted time slot, or used a terminal to access the mainframe…

I can’t recall another politician ever expressing this direct of a sentiment before. (depressing! it’s so simple!) it’s difficult to explain how it feels to wake up and find your country is bombing the place your family grew up. again
