Leo's good ending was the best thing that could have happened to them. I just wish that we could have a different FVN that folks flock to that isn't as problematic (in and out of game) as Project Echo. (This is an opinion, not dictated fact.)

It really sucks to be a vocal synth creator/fan in the current tech landscape. AI voicebanks are just virtual instruments that use predictive algorithms to gen audio frequencies. They run locally on your PC & they're trained w consent from the voice provider, how many times must this be said.

The alveolar tap, which is all that the Japanese R is. I can't say much about French as that's not really my place, but in Japanese at least, a rhotic R can come off as disrespectful, even unintentionally. It's just a matter of being respectful while also enjoying things. No harm intended. 😁

It is true that if you have some kind of impairment that you should be granted some grace, yes. It's another thing entirely to make the decision to use the completely incorrect phoneme and (mostly unintentionally) disrespect the language. I find that the English word "butter" is a great example of--

an entirely different ordeal where the VP does not put forth the effort and uses rhotic R for Japanese/Spanish/French R. It's a matter of respecting the original language and realizing that no, it's not okay to speak lazily. Most Japanese users are forgiving, but you should try to do it properly.

I mean this in the kindest way possible: everyone should speak the language properly otherwise there is a level of appropriation that can be called into question and disrespect of the originating language. Yes, with English being a difficult language, accents are generally accepted, but it's (1/2)
