Off-panel someone asks "Old Maid? You're sure you don't want a more... mentally stimulating game?" Panel 2: Joker smirks as he takes off his glasses, loosening his striped tie. He’s wearing a large overcoat, a dark button-up shirt, and black leather gloves. As he looks across the counter, the steam of his coffee wraps around him and behind the second and third panels, creating a loop or noose. "We could play a round of chess... Or even some poker would--" Panel 3: Akechi puts up his hair in a small ponytail with a scowl on his face, looking away from Joker. He’s wearing a black short-sleeve turtleneck and a black apron. "I'm tired,” he says. “I just want to talk a bit." The steam wraps and re-enters his panel. Panel 4: Joker smiles with a small blush on his face, kissing the frames of his glasses with a small, bright red heart. The steam from his coffee frames his face. Panel 5: Akechi's hands grab two halves of a deck of cards, revealing an ace of hearts and the Joker card, which features a red-gloved hand holding up Joker's original Phantom Thief mask on it. "I see. Then deal away, Akechi-kun!"

J: I'm pretty accustomed to deadlines! A: Mhmm. J: But more than that... Exploring the Metaverse with you all has been invigorating. (Joker in a more jester-inspired PT outfit looks behind him happily) A: Hmph, is that so? J: And I still want you to join me in Mementos before the deadline... When you're at 100%, of course. (Akechi picks a card) A: Of course. I haven't forgotten. (Akechi in a more bird-like PT outfit look ahead on with a small smile) J: Great! I figured not!
Panel 1: A shot of a cup of coffee and pairs of cards. Off-panel, Joker exclaims "Wow! Already down to the last pair!" Panel 2: Joker's gloved hand holding up an ace of hearts between two fingers. Panel 3: Joker smiles gently, eyes closed as he reaches out of frame. "Seems like it's all up to--" Akechi interrupts with "Kurusu." Panel 4: LeBlanc fades in the background as Akechi's back is to the reader, holding up two cards for Joker to choose. In turn, Joker freezes mid-reach, a shocked expression on his face as Akechi asks "Do you think we're both where we need to be?" Behind both of them, a blue butterfly flies by. Panel 5: A closeup of Joker's eye, relaxed in a mysterious, calculating look, glimmering with a splash of red. "...What do you mean?" Panel 6: Akechi looks down at the two cards in his hand: an ace of spades and the Joker, cast in a harsh spotlight. Akechi replies "Our paths crossing like this... Everything was so delicate. If just one thing changed... Where would you be?"
