I think that's broadly true -- a test can signal or demonstrate capacity, rather than being a specific reply to a specific situation. For ex., we're unlikely to see a NK test in the middle of a new crisis with SK or the US. Not because it wouldn't be useful, but because of the reasons listed above.

My point was that dismissing this as just bold pedestrians taking advantage of self-driving car safety features misses a more serious risk.

In other words, it's not so much a problem of "bullying" of self-driving cars as it is the resulting "bullying" of self-driving car occupants.

Except that it has already become an attack vector for harassment of women. A woman alone in a Waymo or other self-driving taxi is an easy target when the car won't move because of somebody standing in front of it. Again, this has already happened.

Well, not you or I -- we're above such things. But, yes, quite a few people were very upset about the "lickable" interface introduced with OS X.

Frankly, compared to the 1.0 monstrosity, Liquid Glass is a blip, especially if you know to check the Accessibility controls to reduce visual clutter.

I wonder what the proportion is of current Mac users being on the Mac for more than five/ten years vs current Mac users coming over from having purchased an iPhone. Gotta speak to them in a language they recognize, I suppose.

The one change that definitely trips me up on a daily basis is the move of the visual indicator box for changing audio volume. It's been in the middle of the screen for decades, and it's hard to start looking for it in a completely different place.

Really? I'm having no problems with it. What are you experiencing?
