Now that the show is over, what was your favourite episode of 'PEACEMAKER' Season 2?

The Waller series is delayed right now.

James Gunn says that "It’s just been a rough road. We’ll never greenlight something where the scripts aren’t working, and we just haven’t had that yet with the Waller show."

Salvation and Checkmate have been part of James Gunn's DCU from the start.

Gunn had these plans even before he became CEO of DC. He pitched it to David Zaslav very early on. After that, the DC Studios writers room helped him flesh it out further.

'LANTERNS' is connected to the Salvation storyline from 'PEACEMAKER'.

James Gunn says, "Lanterns is very connected to all of that. It may not seem like it, but it is all very connected."

Gunn wants to balance in-universe connections with making projects friendly to ne viewers.

"You can watch anything by itself. I’m not expecting people to go into Man of Tomorrow and know what Salvation is. You’ll find out anything you need to know about in the movie."

James Gunn knows which DCU projects he's directing next.

"It’s a part of the plan for the DCU. There is one big story. It involves Salvation, Rick Flag, Lex and Superman... so those movies I’m going to be directing."

James knows how Earth-X Keith could return but isn't sure if it will happen.

"I have plans for Keith, but I just haven’t figured out exactly how it’s all going to work out so I have to make sure I can do it." The Salvation storyline is more planned and will happen first.

Vigilante's brother was almost in Season 2.

His name is Gut Chase and he's quite harsh on Adrian. James compares him to Peacemaker, but without the heart and goodness Peacemaker has hiding underneath.

Rick Flag is in trouble working with Lex Luthor.

Gunn suggests that "Rick is dumb. He thinks he can compete with Lex, and there’s just no way he’s going to be able to. It’s not going to be great for him."

• Not adapting the Salvation Run storyline directly
• The Joker vs Lex Luthor stuff is not included
• The focus is on the concept of imprisoning metahumans away from earth

The Salvation storyline has big DCU connections.

Rick Flag and Lex Luthor's plans to imprison all metahumans has wide impacts. James says that Lanterns "is very connected to all that". Adding, "It may not seem like it, but it is all very connected."

James Gunn always knew Adebayo would found Checkmate

In the comics, Amanda Waller creates Checkmate (and uses it to hunt methumans). James Gunn knew since Peacemaker Season 1, he wanted Adebayo to create Checkmate, and use it for good.

Salvation and Checkmate were always part of Gunn's DCU plans.

James Gunn had these plans even before he became CEO of DC Studios. He pitched Salvation and Checkmate to David Zaslav very early on. After that, the DC Studios writers room helped him flesh it out further.

James Gunn says there won't be a Peacemaker Season 3... for now.

He suggests instead that the cliffhanger on Salvation leads into "the wider DCU and other stories in which this will play out".
