For the record I don’t think you’re wrong that the identity of commander would change quite a bit as the result of the change (some good some bad), but I think allowing for some level of experimentation in an official capacity for it can do more good than harm

I can understand that mindset, but I also think the net gain in terms of what tools become available to decks that don’t have them (particularly monocolor stuff) while still vastly remaining in-pie is higher than the negatives of generically strong options like Lurrus being more available personally

Concept sketch reference work in progress of a lunar knight fox boy named Cassius. He has a Crescent Moon motif, with multiple buckles in that crescent shape. His undershirt is a turtleneck, while a v-cut vest with lapels covers his chest. It has connective straps attached via buttons to connect the vest cohesively. An over-the-shoulder capelet is held by a strap with crescent buckle connector. He has an adorably oversized tail. There are a few more unfinished details that will be ironed out later.
