Local traveling waves of cytosolic Ca2+ elicited by defense signals or wounding are propagated by distinct mechanisms in Arabidopsis Defense-inducing Ca2+ waves in leaf epidermis are stimulus specific.

New research in #ScienceSignaling visualizes how plant cells generate different patterns of calcium ion waves to respond to microbes and wounds, helping to answer how plants generate diverse responses through this elementary signaling mechanism. https://scim.ag/49NigY0

🦠We have 2 experiments #Nymex & #Vesicolos, where we study #lipidvesicles in ugravity. Previous results showed unexpected behavior. Hopefully, we can complete the story in this campaign.
